Why Do Real Companies Spam?

Here's the dilio companies. There is no shortcut. There is no easy way to be successful. The easier your marketing effort is (spam) the longer it is going to take for you to succeed. You need to actually work, and work smart. You need to pick up the phone and call people at companies. You need to stop in for a visit. I actually believe most companies who have succumbed to the temptation of easy sales by being a spammer, actually think they are working smarter. No, the only thing you accomplish is to diminish the value and legitimacy of your company and the person's name you have included in your spam brochure.

Spam marketing is along the lines of what public relations and marketing agencies are selling to naive people at companies with regard to Facebook and Green. Here's what we are thinking Mr. Company. Don't try to drive people directly to your own website. Instead, plaster Facebook all of your expensive ads and encourage people to go there instead! Or, tell everybody you are "green" no matter what your product or service is! Ya, that'll bring in the new orders. It doesn't work.

I am not talking about the spam that comes from some obscure country with nothing more than a link to some idiotic website that nobody would ever be interested in, and that nobody in their right mind would ever click. I am talking about real legitimate companies that have obviously spent a significant amount of time preparing their spam brochure. You've seen them. They are often a bunch of empty boxes, because the images aren't being shown. You are aware of this spammers? Most email clients do not produce the image for security reason, which makes you look like even a bigger fool.

Oh, and for all of you spam marketers who say "well all you have to do is hit the unsubscribe link", keep in mind that intelligent people never press those links for obvious reasons. The spam could be from anywhere, so hitting the link could either 1. confirm your email address or 2. send you off to a site that plants adware or a virus on your computer that you can never get off.

Seriously, does anybody ever end up doing business with a company as a result of a spam marketing email? Sure, somebody does, just like some people wire money overseas to get a cut of a rich Sheik's wealth who needs some way to collect on an inheritance, or whatever. Stop sending spam legitimate companies. Hire a real salesperson or a real marketing department and stop with the shortcut marketing strategy. Stop building your business foundation on sand.
